But it’s a common reality in the everyday world in the world. The word is known as lean. Not L-E-A-N, like lean meat, or leaning against something, but lian, L-I-E-N, which is kind of a form of leaning.
Because what happens is when you get medical services or certain services that are as a result of an accident, worker’s comp claim, things like that, the companies that pay those expenses for you, they’re going to put a lean against whatever amount of money you may get in settlement. So what happens is, you think you’re going to get the certain amount of money, but that’s contingent upon having a set amount of liens that are going to be satisfied for a known dollar value.
